Following last years very successful fly in this years event took place on Sunday 31st August although the day started off with very low cloud base and typical summer rain this soon cleared away and although cloudy it stayed dry with just a moderate breeze.

A big thanks to all those who turned up at only our 2nd event at this site, excellent facilities and food brilliant, what more could you ask for.

 

Well we did have more, some superb 3D flying, a whole fleet of really stunning scale machines and even a full sized Hughes 500 dropped in, what a way to travel though as he bought with him a brilliant scale Bell 47G.

Everyone did appear to have a great time, flying all through the day, catching up with old friends next to the refreshment wagon, if only we could have days like this every weekend !!

 

Last but not least a big thank you to all who gave up their time to put this event on, it may not seem there is much to do but believe me there is lot to do just to make these weekends happen, especially so when it rains on the day.

 

So a big thanks to everyone whether you came just to fly or were one of the background team, everyone is important just to make these events work, We look forward to seeing you all again next year, don't forget your shorts please, we have booked the sunshine in advance.
